LANYARDS designed to foil pickpockets will be handed out by police officers in Andover’s High Street from 10am on Thursday, 5 February.
The devices can be attached to a purse and then to a handbag to frustrate thieves. A number of shoppers were targeted in the town centre in the run-up to Christmas.
The day is jointly sponsored by Asda and the Hampshire police Safer Streets initiative
