THE Andover Artisan Market returned to the High Street on Sunday, continuing its triumphant return after being curtailed by lockdown earlier this year.
Whether visitors were looking for early Christmas presents, Halloween treats, the odd tipple for those long winter nights, or just a homemade snack, there was plenty on offer for everyone to enjoy.
There was also live musical accompaniment for anyone on the High Street, who were serenaded by singers taking to the Time Ring, including Poison and Wine and Maddison Douch.
The market took place in town from 10am until 2pm, and welcomed back a number of favourites including Greenfield Pork, Material Moments and Rutts Lane Cider.
Newer traders include Arts Rush and Cane Studios; Mr Pickles; Emily’s Emporium; Goofy Goat Gifts; Clare’s Cards; Bumble Bears and Body Shop at Home.
Test Valley Borough Council, which organises the markets, said they “are part of a broader programme of events planned to encourage people to visit Andover High Street and support the town.
“The markets involve a wide range of local traders and give customers the chance to shop locally and support local businesses.
“They are an important part of a wider calendar of events in Andover High Street.”
The market returned in September after a long hiatus due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, TVBC had introduced a variety of “appropriate distancing and safety measures” to ensure everyone could enjoy themselves while staying safe.
The Andover Artisan Market is due to be held on the third Sunday of each month until the end of the year.
