A BRIGHTON Hill resident who lives behind the football stadium said he will be moving house due to the loss of the club.

Peter Sally told the Gazette: “I’ve always been an avid fan and for them to tear it down and sell it for parts like a broken car is utterly heart breaking.”

Although the owners are waiting for planning permission, the pitch has been torn up ready for construction work.

Beryl Jocelyn, aged 85, added: “They’ve built so many houses of late I’m sure they could have found a better location for them other than our football club.”
