FIREFIGHTERS extinguished a blazing car which threatened a timber clad house.
Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service (HFRS) were call after a fire broke out on Reading Road, Mattingly at 9.18am on Tuesday morning (February 23).
Two crews from Hartley Wintney and Odiham were sent to the incident where a car was ‘well alight’ and in close proximity to a house.
A spokes person for HFRS said: “Firefighters from Hartley Wintney and Odiham were mobilised at 09:18 yesterday to Reading Road, Mattingley. There was a car in a driveway which was well alight and in close proximity of the house.
“The fire was extinguished using two breathing apparatus and two hose reels. The car was 50% destroyed by fire and no properties were affected. The stop message came in at 10:08.”

A tweet sent out by Hartley Wintney Fire Station said the fire ‘fire threatened the owners timber clad house’.
They added: “Great stop by crews, protecting the property. Thanks @Odiham10 for backing us up. #OneTeam.”
