ANDOVER residents gathered outdoors to mark Armed Forces Day on Saturday (June 26).
The Covid-compliant event was organised by Love Andover and Cllr Nick Matthews (TVBC representative for Andover Romans and Armed Forces Champion) and this year took place in the Poppy Park Memorial Garden in Augusta Park, Andover throughout the morning.
The memorial garden made for the perfect setting to celebrate all the many local people who serve and have served in the armed forces.
A two minutes silence was marked, and a number of people gave recitals, including Austin Scratchley from the 22nd Andover Cubs.
Attendees also enjoyed refreshments from Augusta Park Community Centre.
Posting to Facebook, Leader of TVBC, Cllr Phil North, said: "This morning I attended the blessing of the Augusta Park Memorial Garden in Poppy Park. A perfect way to mark Armed Forces Day."
Basingstoke Gazette Camera Club photographer Dave Potts captured the event in this gallery of images.
