SNOW wiped out the football programme in north Hampshire last weekend, but hopes are high this weekend all the teams will return to action.

Andover New Street will be keen to build on their 1-0 win over Tadley Calleva last time out when Callum Sweeney scored the winner from the penalty spot.

This Saturday, the Wessex League Premier Division side face a crunch basement battle as they travel south to the Isle of Wight to face Cowes Sports.

New Street are six points behind Cowes with a game in hand as they look to climb off the foot of the table.

In the reverse fixture in north Hampshire in the middle of the October Cowes narrowly won 1-0.

ANDOVER Town had their first home fixture of 2019 postponed on Saturday and will try again this weekend at Portway when Folland Sports are the visitors.

Town have been in better form in recent weeks and won a five-goal thriller 3-2 earlier in the season at Folland.

On that day Brandan Holmes, Owen Trapnell and Shaquille Gwengwe were the men on target, they will hope to do the same this weekend.

On Tuesday night, Andover are in action again when they travel to seventh placed Alton.

STOCKBRIDGE sixth in the Hampshire Premier League, have a tough trip on Saturday away at leaders Paulsgrove.

The Robins were just edged out 3-2 in the opening month of the campaign, when Paulsgrove travelled to the north of the county,

OVERTON are at home on Saturday against eighth placed Liphook, who are four places below them in the table.
