NETBALL aces Riverside Bowl ACES are the Division Three champions after they beat Camfree 43-24.
Both teams were in good spirits as they were both wearing odd socks for the up coming World Downs Syndrome Day and raising money for local charities including Icknield School and Downs Syndrome Association.
Camfree made a slow start to the match but improved in the second quarter.
Camfree GK Tamilia Trussler worked tirelessly to prevent the Riverside Bowl ACES attack.
Trussler was awarded Camfree's best player and helped keep her team within touching distance.
This was one of Riverside Bowl ACES most contested matches which was a real credit to Camfree.
ACES' GD and best player Laura Gatcombe read Camfree's play well and made some show stopping interceptions.
Camfree hung in with gritted teeth and managed to win half points against Riverside Bowl ACES.
They were the first team to achieve this all season.
Riverside Bowl ACES were still extremely happy with the win 43-24 and takes them 17 points clear and with three games to go it made sure of the division title.
