WINTER Testing did not go as planned for Andover’s motor bike racer Jake Archer.

The current British Moto3 Champion has switched to riding a Moto2 for the upcoming 2019 season.

Unfortunately, the Team Kovara Projects rider suffered a collarbone injury at the circuit in Almeria, Spain.

After trip to the local hospital his winter testing came to an abrupt halt.

Whilst it is thought the bone is not broken he clearly could not carry on riding.

Archer (pictured) returned home and saw the renowned trauma specialist Brian Simpson MCSP DSA (CSP) soon after.

Following on from this Archer will undergo hyperbaric oxygen therapy to aid his recovery.

Whilst the loss of track time was a disappointment for the18-year-old rider, he is still expected to be fully fit in time for the first BSB test at Silverstone which takes place on April 9.
