ANDOVER race driver and track marshal Dawn Boyd is racing “to promote the marshals” this season with her brightly liveried race car emblazoned with BMMC characters and she was welcomed by a sea of orange at Croft in her latest outing.

Dawn’s B42’s Motorsport Team’s ‘Marshal Support Race Car’ project is all about recognising the volunteer marshals and they provide free hot drinks, plus snacks and treats are all handed to the marshals when Dawn races. This is because her sponsors are supporting her simply in the form of donations to the marshals.

The weather was kind to the Teekay Couplings Production Gti Championship and the grid of 20 plus VWs was a colourful sight.

Dawn enjoyed both races and had race-long mid-pack battles but was struggling with understeer so couldn’t quite get up to the pointy end.

Dawn managed two more top ten finishes and was well on the pace even though the car has only raced twice since being built by her family team in their spare time over the winter months.

She move on next to Anglesey in North Wales next.

All details of Dawn’s racing and the project can be found at www.dawnontrack.co.uk all donations welcome.
