ANDOVER New Street scored 10 goals in their last two games as they booked their place in the third round of the Hampshire Senior Cup and well as grabbing another three points in their campaign to get promoted back into the Wessex League Premier Division at the first attempt.

On Tuesday night's, Hampshire Senior Cup tie New Street beat visiting Premier side Horndean 4-1.

Luke Hooper scored their opening goal after 10 minutes and remain like this to the break.

After the interval, Kieran LeBrun and Hooper made it 3-0.

The goal of game arrived from Solomon Mawo with a great drive from 25-yards out.

Horndean scored a late consolation goal to complete the match scoring.

Last Saturday, New Street enjoyed a great 6-1 league victory over visiting Folland Sports.

Hooper, Jazz Beavis and Callum Sweeney saw the home side lead 3-0 at half-time. Jason Silver made it 4-0, before Folland pulled one back.

Goals from Mawo and Alex Dockree finished off the scoring.

This Saturday, New Street are at home to East Cowes Vics and then on Tuesday night face Alresford in the North Hants Senior Cup.

Manager John Smith said: "We are really playing well at the moment and we really are looking to keep winning in the league games, as we have games in hand on the teams above us."

ANDOVER Town suffered on last Saturday as they found visiting Division One leaders US Portsmouth too hot to handle going down 5-0.

The result leaves them 13th in the table and this weekend they have an away game on the Isle of Wight against Newport, who are fifth.

On Wednesday night, they have a much shorter away game at Whitchurch in a North Hants Senior Cup quarter-final clash.
