ANDOVER Town’s pre-season continued on Wednesday night with a trip to Salisbury to take on their Development side.

Town took the lead in the first half, with a penalty converted by Luke Adams just before half time.

The spot-kick was dispatched emphatically, high into the top left-hand corner. With 20 minutes left on the clock, Adams then doubled his and his side’s tally.

Another goal of good quality as Adams cut inside from the right hand side, and whipped the ball into the far corner with his left food, from just inside the box. Town went on to win the match 2-0.

They take on Amesbury FC on Saturday, July 24, and Laverstock on Tuesday, July 27.

Andover Town has also announced the signing of Alfie Moulding from Amesbury Town.

A statement on the club’s website said: “Alfie has been an integral figure within Griff’s British Army Under-23 side and is a player that has huge potential.

“Alfie is a vocal and powerful defender who will improve our side with his leadership abilities, game understanding and no nonsense approach to defending.

“Welcome to Andover Town Alfie, best wishes for the new season.”

The club has also drawn Baffins Milton Rovers away in the First Qualifying Round of the Buildbase F.A Vase. Rovers play in the Wessex Premier League.

The fixture is scheduled for Saturday, September 11.
