The North Hants Sunday Senior Cup Final, at Foxcotte Park, Andover, was staged on Tuesday, May 2, writes Tony Spencer.

Tidworth Town stormed into the lead with three goals in the first 20 mins. Republic of Chineham reduced the deficit from the penalty spot on 34 minutes but were 3-1 down at the break.

Tidworth Town lifted the trophy with the final score 4-1, goalscorers Justin Bennett with two, George Higgins and Robbie Owen.

In an evening Division 2 match, Hartley Sunday beat bottom side Oakridge B 9-1 to seal the runners-up place and promotion, although the visitors took the lead after only four minutes through Jack Osborne.

Carl Allwork levelled in 13 mins, Shane Deakin got two in two mins on 23 and 24 mins, and Travis Smith-Kuhl on 27 minutes, giving the hosts a reassuring 4-1 lead at the break.

Allwork completed his hat-trick on 58 and 75 mins, Jordan Cochelin netted on 67 mins and sub Kyle Whitehead scored his brace in the 80 and 90+1 mins.

The Division 1 runners-up place was decided when New Park Rangers beat the previous champions Republic of Chineham 1-4.

New champions Basingstoke Hammers had a walkover win over bottom place Basingstoke Saints.

Division 2 champions New Park Rangers Reserves beat runners-up Hartley Sunday 3-1, with two goals from Paul Roffey and Jack Mackinnon, with Hartley’s Carl Allwork replying.

Nathan Read, Kirk Smith, subs Nathan Dennis and Tom Green scored for Eastrop Eagles in a tight 4-3 win over AFC Aldermaston. Sub Jordan Cox replied twice and Morgan Best once for the visitors.

Relegated Republic of Chineham Reserves conceded their final game to third place White Ash Rovers.

The last fixture in Division 4 was a 0-3 victory for new Champions Ambient at Basingstoke Boars.

The match had been in deadlock until near the 70th minute, with Ambient heading in from a corner kick. Before that goal, nervous Ambient had seen a lot of the ball, but besides a missed penalty on a very overgrown pitch, they hadn't created much besides a few half chances from miscued clearances. However, once Ambient scored, a flurry of two further goals were chalked up and Ambient saw out the game and celebrate the result. Goals from Kieron Alleyne, Thomas Coughlan and Matthew Kempson.

The Saturday and Sunday Sections Cup Finals this weekend are at Barlows Park, Tadley, with kick-offs at 3pm and 6pm on Saturday, 11am and 3pm on Sunday.
