The Andover derby has been postponed for the third time in 2026 due to a waterlogged pitch.

Andover New Street and Andover Town FC, who were facing off on Tuesday, January 13, in the North Hampshire Senior Cup at the Portway Stadium, are now awaiting a date to play the fixture.

The game between the two sides was initially scheduled to be played on Tuesday, January 6, but has since been cancelled due to frozen and waterlogged pitches.

The fixture was initially met with excitement by New Street as the fixture would have marked the 100th appearance by attacker Claudio Herbert for the club.

New Street remain waiting to play their first fixture of 2026 as they are yet to feature in league or cup action since their 3-0 league win against Hamworthy Recreation.

On X, New Street said: "MATCH OFF!!!! Andover Town have made the decision to call off this evenings match."

New Street will now turn their attention to their Wessex Premier Division fixture at home against New Milton Town at the DH Property Services Stadium on Saturday, January 24.
