As this year's Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship starts to reach its end, there are still three rounds for our local drivers to improve their final standings.

Donington Park's 2.49 mile Grand Prix circuit layout hosted rounds 19, 20 and 21 of this year's event.

Nick Halstead had joined in the championship with the Steel Seal with Power Maxed Racing Audi A3.

The Hampshire-based driver had three races on Sunday with his best place finish coming in race three where Halstead came home in 18th position.

Another local driver, Ricky Collard, had an indifferent weekend in his Team VERTU Hyundai i30N.

Collard's best result came in race two on Sunday with a hard driving performance which netted him a fifth place finish, an eighth in race one and then a DNF in the final race.

This now puts him fifth overall in the title race on 202 points as the teams head to Croft Circuit in Yorkshire, September 5/6.

Other local racers at Donington were Alex Keens and Liona Theobald in the 2026 Mairon Motorsport Mini Challenge Trophy.

Again, there were three outings for the team in this event.

Keens, in the Graves Motorsport R50 Cooper Mini, finished the weekend with a fifth place finish and then two third place results, which see him leading the championship on 636 points, just eight points ahead of team mate Matt Luff as the next round is at the Croft Circuit.

Theobald is in the Rookie Cup Class in her Wera Alliance Racing Academy Mini.

She recorded a 16th, 17th and 13th place finish and is sixth in the Rookie Cup and 13th overall.
