Oakwood sponsored Andover welcomed Ellingham and Ringwood who were top of the table and with experienced players missing it gave Callum Staff his first start of the season and also gave a debut to Richard Woodley on the right wing.
As Andover had no genuine hooker Alex Morgan stepped up from the back row for the second time this season. The game did not start well as Ellingham scored through the midfield after sucking in the defence. The scrum held firm, which was great credit given all of the talk about the size of the visitors’ pack and provided great ball with prop Adam Brown throwing into the line.
