THE Andover Nursing Home is outstanding.
With Matron Louise Bulloch in charge I’m not surprised that the independent Care Quality Commission (CQC) has given, on their latest surprise inspection, a top classification of outstanding.
For over three years I have been visiting my partner virtually every week day to help her with her supper. This comes as a three-course meal and drink selected to satisfy her needs on a tray with tray cloth and serviette.
For each meal she has a clean soft tailored apron that, like everything in the home, is spotless. The chefs are excellent and take great pride in cooking and presenting the food that I have enjoyed on special occasions myself.
From the friendly reception onwards to the many nurses, carers and activity managers etc, the home shows how efficiency can be combined with kindness for the guests.
