I WRITE in response to Ron Wood’s letter in the Andover Advertiser on 24 March, 2017.
I can assure him that the council is continuing to investigate options for providing public toilets on a longterm basis.
We have approached a number of cafés, pubs and restaurants in the town centre to measure the feasibility of launching a Community Toilet Scheme where members of the public would be able to use the facilities with no obligation to make a purchase.
We have received support from a number of these local businesses and we hope to be in a position to formally launch the scheme very soon.
We will publish more information as it becomes available.
Leader of Test Valley Borough Council, Councillor Ian Carr
