MY WIFE said it all as we pulled in to the car park behind the former Marks and Spencer.
“You can’t usually find a space here at this time of the day.”
But there was plenty of room. Just like in the town because there were hardly any people. Fortunately, we only go to the bank, a chemist and two other shops which is lucky as there isn’t much more to do unless you want a cup of coffee, visit a charity shop or buy a mobile phone.
Presumably, somebody at TVBC, the Chantry Centre (or both) is getting paid to improve the town’s retail opportunities.
I can’t help wondering how much they are getting paid to fail.
