NO, LEN Gates, a new vote is not needed (Letters, September 7).
What is needed is for politicians to honour their promise to proceed to Brexit if the majority of the electorate voted for it. That is called ‘Democracy’.
Like many others I voted to leave the EU as I wished to be governed by my Parliament and not by a corrupt and unelected and unaccountable body of officials whose accounts still remain to be properly audited for about 20 years.
I also voted knowing there could well be some disadvantages in the early years. What I did not realise was that our ‘Remainer’ politicians would do their utmost to see that the democratically voted wish of the majority should be overturned.
At least we can always vote them out at elections!
