RESIDENTS in Hampshire gathered together to witness a special performance to commemorate World War One.

The Mayor of Winchester, Cllr Ernie Jeffs, and his wife, the Mayoress Barbara, flocked to St John’s Church in Alresford with other patrons for an evening with the Salisbury Plan Military Wives.

The performance marked the 100th year anniversary of the start of the First World War.
