I REFER to your article on page 3 of last Friday’s issue. I gave the reporter a copy of my statement to the council on 14 January which clearly states that Twinings will employ 460 people. How can he get that so wrong?

YOUR report ‘Fight for Twinings Jobs’ was accurate in so far as it reported comments and statements made at the meeting but it failed to report suggestions that I made at the meeting, which Derek Kotz was keen to follow up, and which one member of the audience described to me as being ‘the only positive suggestions of the evening’.

I WRITE with reference to your headline in last Friday’s Advertiser.At first glance I thought you were talking about the experience of my wife and I, especially as we too had a birth pool set up and ready to be used in a home birth before coming up against Winchester Hos-pital’s bureaucracy.
