Andover Football Club’s season descended further into chaos last week as they came to terms with the Portway Stadium being again deemed unfit for football following a visit by members of the Southern League committee.

HAVING had a visit by thieves who stole lead from both the Memorial Hall and the nearby health centre, a quick response by Mr T Down and his team managed to seal the roof thus allowing the Ludgershall Flower Show to proceed on Saturday 28 August.

Appleshaw Flower Show, held at the same time as the Fete, received record numbers of entries and the village hall was full of wonderful displays of vegetables, fruit, cooking, photographs and childrens artwork. Cups were won by the following - The Jubilee Challenge Cup for the best in show was won by Neil Duncan with three stems of large flowered roses.
