I was appalled by the report of the recent town council meeting (Andover Town Council meeting descends into chaos and arguments, January 25).

To think that I am represented by bickering ‘adults’ leaves me horrified and the fact they are rewarded by my hard-earned cash leaves me speechless.

What service do these people perform for Andover? During their tenure, they have presided over the steady decline of the town. We are constantly informed of the cost of living crises and yet Andover Town Council is content to raise a tax to fund their questionable behaviour. We should all be telling them that enough is enough.

In the same edition, I read that the museum is to close, which will be a sad loss to the town. Andover will have even less to recommend it!

May I suggest that the members of Andover Town Council examine their consciences?  Who gives the better value for money? After all, what do they do, or have they done, for Andover? What initiatives are they proposing to make this a better town to live in?

My suggestion is to dissolve the council and use the money to save the museum.
