INSPIRED by your resent letter publication - 'Free rent and rates to attract shops like Primark to Andover', I have decided to write to you as after moving to Andover few years ago and running successful business in London we wanted to open a restaurant with Polish and Western European food.

Three months ago we contacted the council to discuss any opportunities to open one in Andover town centre and to our surprise we were met with very high demands and all together what we were asked to provide meant spending money even before we would find out if we can use place we originally found, especially that previously it was a takeaway.

In the last eight years we have been running successful Polish restaurant in London. So we understand this market. We have met many Polish and Eastern European friends in Andover and they all say the same, there isn't a place that represents their culture.

We are very disappointed that council didn't seem to be interested in new business being opened in Andover considering the closest Polish restaurant is in Southampton.
