A MAN died today following a crash at a notorious road junction near Winchester.
A 21-year-old man and a white Ford Kuga were involved in the collision at 5.28pm yesterday on the A33 at Kings Worthy.
The man, from Cheriton, near Alresford, was taken by ambulance to Southampton General Hospital but died from his injuries this morning.
Police officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision near the Cart and Horses pub.
The victim’s next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.
The driver, a 45-year-old man from Chandler’s Ford, was uninjured.
Sergeant Jon Bates, from the Roads Policing Unit, said this afternoon: “This collision happened during the evening rush hour. If you saw anything and haven’t already been in touch, please contact me on 101 quoting 44160442729.”
