A PRE-school celebrated a special anniversary year with a festive open morning last Saturday.
Rising Fives Pre-School, in Whitchurch, marked its 40th year.
The event was a chance for children from the past and present, with their parents, to celebrate, talk to staff members, other parents and the new voluntary management committee.
Nadia Dowling, chairman of the Rising Fives committee, attended the pre-school herself. She said: “It is a great place for children to attend – I am really looking forward to sending my daughter.
“It is also an exciting year for Rising Fives. A new voluntary committee is in place and a great team of staff who are all committed and working hard to ensure that Rising Fives continues to be a great place where children can learn and develop whilst they have lots of fun and make new friends so that they are ready to start school.”
Activities during the fun morning included Santa’s Grotto, face-painting, a festive tombola and hook the duck, plus a raffle and refreshments.
