THE Skye Orchard mosaic was officially unveiled in its permanent site in Topaz Drive by Councillor Pat West.
The mosaic, which had been on display in The Chantry Centre for several months, is a community project set up by Transition Town Andover and is now situated at the site of a community orchard.
Pupils from Portway Infant, Portway Junior and Harrow Way Community schools were also involved in the design of the mosaic.
Carol Bartholomew, of Transition Town Andover, said: “I have to thank Councillor Pat West, who has made the mosaic possible by generously funding the project and Joanna Dewfall, the mosaic artist. And a massive thank you to Test Valley Borough Council for all their support from the beginning of the community orchard.”
Carol also thanked residents for taking care or the orchard and the parents of Skye, the young girl remembered at the orchard.
