TIME is running out to have your say on public access to the countryside.

County council chiefs have been holding the consultation this month as they look to improve Hampshire’s 3,000 miles of right of way access and find out how the main issues have changed since the Countryside Access Plan was published in 2008.

The consultation runs until this Sunday, with the feedback being used to shape the work of the Countryside Access Team.

Hampshire County Council’s executive member for culture, recreation and countryside, Keith Chapman, said: “The Countryside Service’s vision is to connect people with Hampshire’s countryside and we prioritise what we do to ensure that we provide a high quality network that meets people’s needs.

“I would urge people to take part in our survey as we would very much welcome their views to help shape this strategy.”
