THIS shameful lot have all been handed jail terms in Andover in 2014/15 for a catalogue of offences including rape, sexual assault and robbery.

They are...

Peter Watch

PETER Watch, 26, was sentenced to 12 years in prison at Winchester Crown Court last month having been found guilty of rape, sexual assault, two counts of assault and putting a person in fear of violence.

Watch, of Amesbury Road, stood accused of assaulting women who he met on dating websites, taking part in acts too graphic to describe in a family newspaper.

He denied all the charges against him, but a judge gave him 12 years and an extended sentence of four – meaning he will spend four years on licence –- and ruled he must serve at least eight years before parole can be considered.

Roger Lee

PAEDOPHILE Roger Lee, of River Way, was jailed last month after arranging to meet a young girl for sex via an internet chatroom.

The 45-year-old was set up by a vigilante group who confronted him and shopped him to police.

Lee was described by a judge as a “danger to young children” and sentenced to two years and four months in jail, with an extended three-year licence period at Newcastle Crown Court.

Tristan Cole

A MAN hooked on a banned “party drug” stole a lorry from a construction site and later rammed it into an unmarked police car.

Tristan Cole stole the 7.5ton lorry from a site in Basing View but was subsequently spotted by officers driving it near Andover.

The 26-year-old drove it so dangerously, at times crossing the central reservation on the A343, that the police gave up the chase.

In January Judge Keith Cutler branded Cole’s driving as “quite worrying” and he jailed him for a total of 18 months, and banned him from driving for two years.

Reece Michael King

BOOZE thief King was jailed after twice being caught stealing lager from an Andover store.

The 23-year-old, of Hackwood Close, swiped items from Tesco and was jailed for nine months at Winchester Crown Court back in August for two thefts, assault by beating, failing to answer bail and breaching a suspended sentence.

But two senior judges at the Court of Appeal in London later cut his sentence to six months, after ruling that the original prison term was too tough.

Luke Peverall and Tom White

THIS pair were sentenced to five years each for conspiracy to rob an Andover jewellers.

Luke Peverall, 24, of no fixed address, and Tom White, 26, of Swallowfields, Iver, were sentenced in Winchester Crown Court in October having pleaded guilty to conspiring to rob David Mellor and Sons Jewellers.

They smashed their way into the Waterloo Court jewellers in September.

Paul O'Boyle

O’BOYLE was jailed in August after admitting a catalogue of offences including fraud and flouting a string of health and safety regulations.

Ian Middlemiss was killed when a two-tonne sandbox fell onto him while working for Aztech Art Foundry.

O'Boyle, who was running the firm despite being disqualified as a director, was jailed for a total of 26 months.

Shaun Ward

THUG Shaun Ward downed a cocktail of bleach and vodka before sexually assaulting a nurse in Andover only hours after being released from prison.

Ward had to be restrained in court as a judge sentenced him to three-and-a-half years in prison for the attack in October.

Last month Winchester Crown Court heard how Ward grabbed the woman in a hospital car park, pushed her to the ground and sexually assaulted her.
