DOZENS of Barton Stacey residents donned their running shoes as they took part in a fun run raising money for the Cygnets playgroup.
Raising money through sponsorship, holding a raffle and a barbecue, a total of over £1,600 was collected while a bucket collection during the run totalled £38.
The group's members weren't left out of the fun running, as they were given a chance to take part in a potato race. The event was also attended by Test Valley Mayor and Mayoress Jim and Maria Neal.
Alex Harrison, Cygnets' secretary, said: "It was fantastic, I think everyone had a fun time. We certainly had a good response from people, especially in terms of money."
Volunteers including staff, parents and residents run the group, which is a charity, for its members, aged from two years nine months to five years.
