THE family of a motorcyclist killed in a collision in Leckford earlier this week have paid tribute to a "loving" husband, father and grandfather.

Alan Couper, 62, of Upper Brownhill Road, Southampton, died at the scene of the collision on Stockbridge Road, on Wednesday, April 13.

Paying tribute, his family said: “Alan was a loving, gorgeous husband, fantastic supportive father and grandad who was taken from us while he was enjoying one of his favourite pastimes.

“We will miss him so much. We loved him with all our hearts. Life will never be the same without him.”

Mr Couper was one of two motorcyclists involved in a collision with a lorry at the entrance to the golf club.

The other motorcyclist was taken to Southampton General Hospital with minor injuries.

The lorry driver, a 57 year-old man from Tidworth in Wiltshire was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving as part of this investigation and has been bailed until June 8 pending further enquiries.
