AN ANDOVER man has been ordered to do 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty to using threatening behaviour.
Neil Swaisland, of Knoll Court, was slapped with the order after admitting a charge of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause his victim to believe immediate unlawful violence would be used against him.
The 45-year-old, who appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court last week for a hearing, was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work over the next 12 months and will have to pay a victim surcharge of £85.
Swaisland was also ordered to pay £40 in Crown Prosecution Service charges.
Basingstoke Magistrates' Court ordered both fines to be taken from Swaisland's benefits.
