A NEW business venture is hoping to kick up a storm in the coming months with open courses for businesses across the south.

Andover learning and development professional Rachel Broome set up her new training and strategic human resources firm Talentstorm after 20 years’ experience working in the industry.

Based at her Andover home office, Ms Broome works with a team of associates across the south-west to bring businesses a range of in-house training, open courses and consultancy.

Ms Broome said: “I’ve always had an interest in business and was inspired by people like the late Dame Anita Roddick, founder of the Body Shop, which was really groundbreaking in its day.

“I studied business studies at university which gave me a good grounding in my career as a learning and development professional.

“I am really passionate about how businesses provide training to their people, and make training and learning as effective as possible. There is so much scope with technology available to do things differently, it’s not just about sitting in a training room for a day anymore.

“We can help support businesses that want to get better results in terms of how they develop their people but aren’t quite sure how to get there.”

The Talentstorm team has a range of experience offering training days including management and leadership development, diversity programmes, team development days as well as digital learning strategies.
