A “CHALLENGING” five-mile race will be entering its 10th year next month.
The Hurstbourne Tarrant 5 Mile, comprising an off-road course, taking in rural footpaths, woodland tracks and a couple of hills, will take place on Saturday, 28 April.
The annual event starts at Hurstbourne Tarrant Community Centre and follows part of the Test Way through woods and farmland.
It has been held every year since 2009, attracting fun runners, club athletes and villagers.
The race is organised entirely by volunteers with all proceeds donated to an array of locally-based charities including Andover Young Carers and Hurstbourne Tarrant Community Trust.
There is also a 2K Fun Run held for children.
Race director, Martin Allen said: “I’m thrilled to have been part of this local event for the past 10 years and would like to thank our sponsors and volunteers for helping us raise over £20,000 for local charities.”
