VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help a café project launched last month.

The Enham Trust Café was set up as an opportunity for disabled people, residents and volunteers at the trust, to gain skills and confidence in hospitality and catering.

Now, the trust is looking for people who would like to join the team of volunteers to support the running of the café.

Hannah Leicester, head of income generation, said: “We are excited to be offering volunteering opportunities at our new café, which is a great way to build your CV, learn new skills, meet new people and make a difference locally.

“It doesn’t matter what your skills, experience or background are, or how much time you have to give. We would love to hear from you if you would like to get involved.”

The disability charity officially launched the £130,000 refurbishment project last month which saw old offices converted to a café, newly fitted full-disabled access toilets with a hoist and a renewal of the trust’s discovery centre.

The aim is to gradually expand opening hours.

Potential volunteers should go to enhamtrust.org.uk/volunteering-opportunities or call 01264 345 800.
