THE man accused of the murder of a 28-year-old Londoner in Andover appeared in the dock at crown court today.

Zandrae Kiah Smith, of Octavia Court, Bradford in West Yorkshire appeared for a preliminary hearing at Winchester Crown Court with representation from solicitor Zahir Hanif.

No bail application was made on behalf of the 20-year-old, who was wearing a blue jacket and grey jumper, with no plea yet entered.

On Friday, 13 April, Tommy Ferris was found stabbed in an alleyway off Smannell Road, and was pronounced dead on arrival at Southampton General Hospital.

Mr Smith's next preliminary hearing is set for 25 May at the same court.
