A LITTLE London woman who has raised more than £20,000 for an air ambulance charity is embarking on another fundraising challenge to top the total.

Anna White has been fundraising for the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance since 2013 after she was impressed with the crew’s handling of an injured riders at Frenches Farm.

Her latest task is to join the charity’s challenge of trekking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in Peru, with a fundraising target of £4,000.

Anna said: “Here at Frenches Farm, just North of Andover, I have witnessed HIOWAA in action when there has been an accident. They are the most caring, passionate, and incredible team.

“From seeing the helicopter arriving, landing, the paramedics and doctors in action, attending a casualty, I was so impressed with the way they all work, and the sheer dedication of each and every member of the team.

“I decided to raise funds for this independent charity of whom I felt needed all the help they can get to keep going, so I made it my pledge to raise as much as I could to help them.”

In aid of the life-saving charity, Anna has completed the Three Peaks challenge in 24 hours, skydived and organised parties and cake stalls over the last five years.

Next up Anna is set to embark on a ten-day trail to Machu Picchu, and is hosting a series of fundraising events ahead of the September trek.

A invite-only drinks party is being hosted at Frenches Farm this Saturday, complete with an auction and raffle as part of the event.
