THE principal investigator of a Parkinson’s research centre met with Andover’s support group and received a donation on Friday.
Andover Parkinson’s Support Group listened to a talk from Professor Richard Wade Martins, who leads the Oxford Parkinson’s Disease Centre, and presented him with a £1,300 towards the research.
The group have raised more than £20,000 for Parkinson’s research in 10 years, and believe Oxford is the “optimum site” for the developments.
Roberta Coelho said: “I truly believe miracles happen there.
“Since we’ve started this fund in 2008, we have raised £20,400.00, which just goes to show how determined we are to but to fundraise.”
