THE sponsors behind a Pride of Andover Award said it’s a “great way” of recognising achievement.
Places for People has backed the Sports Award, which like the other accolades, shines a light on outstanding individuals working and volunteering in and around the town to strengthen the community.
The category also looks for those who have inspired others to overcome barriers to their own achievement.
Places for People sales manager Dean Spooner said: “Places for People are delighted to be sponsoring the Sports Award in this year’s Pride of Andover Awards; we’re passionate, not only about promoting healthy and active lifestyles, but also about supporting our local community and we believe that sponsoring this category - recognising achievements in this way - is a great way to do this.”
The nomination period is now open and will close on August 31.
