ANDOVER Carnival royalty continued their duties by opening Weyhill Family Fun Day on Sunday.
Prince Logan Dueblack, princess Samantha Corpe and attendants Ellie Lees Sandey and Kayleigh Cutting cut the ribbon and joined in the fun and charity fundraising.
At the event, Hatherden School won the children’s five-a-side football tournament while others got competitive in events including the egg and spoon race and sack race.
Children were also able to explore a Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service engines onsite, while parents looked to stalls to win a variety of “great prizes”.
Co-organiser Judith Appleby said: “People certainly came and had fun.
“Our thanks goes out to all those who came and this year we are sharing our takings with Abbie’s Army, a charity that supports research into DIPG, a childhood brain tumour cancer, which has affected a family here in Weyhill.”
