STUDENTS marked the end of term with a week of fun.

The Winton Academy pupils took part in the school’s annual Motion and Commotion week.

The activities started on the Tuesday when a group departed for Prague, in the Czech Republic, but it really kicked off the following day as staff and 50 Year 7 children boarded a coach bound for PGL Adventure in Shropshire for three days.

Students took part in activities such as paintball, karting at Thruxton, inflatable madness, cake baking, upcycling, art, photography trips to London and Bournemouth and ten pin bowling.

Some of the pupils even created a short version of Oliver the musical and performed it to an invited audience.

Motion and Commotion gives students the opportunity to take part in a wide range of activities that they might not otherwise try as well as developing a sense of adventure and resilience.

The school said after an “amazing week” it is already excited for the fourth Motion and Commotion next year, which will include trips to Kent, Barcelona, Iceland, the Ardeche, in Southern France, and Florence.
