ANDOVER'S theatre is all set to welcome the return of a theatre company for another fabulous show which will celebrate the life of Noel Coward.

The Lights will welcome the returning theatre company Noted For Music, who were behind Choice Grenfell (2022).

The company will be back in the auditorium for another fabulous show, celebrating the life and times of Noel Coward. Coward was an English playwright, composer, director, actor, and singer.

Cocktails and Laughter is a sparkling revue of Coward’s best work as an actor, director, playwright and (of course) songwriter including the most famous silly, romantic, outrageous, and glibly cynical songs that made his name. The show will be at the theatre on Thursday, May 4.

The show is designed to be a beautifully paced review featuring now only the words and music of an English icon, Sir Noel Coward, and the best parts of his plays too.

Great songs including Mad Dogs and Englishmen, I’ll See You Again, The Stately Homes of England, I Went to a Marvellous Party and many more are accompanied by an insight into what made this genius tick, from one of the UK’s most accomplished and knowledgeable performers of his work. Residents are encouraged to enjoy the evening of wit, sophistication and talent starring Andrew D. Brewis as Noel Coward and Suzy Walters as Gertrude Lawrence.

Describing Coward Richard Rodgers said: “He wrote in with style, sang with style, painted with style and even smoked a cigarette with the style that belonged exclusively to him.”

Meanwhile, Sir Tim Rice added: "The wit and wisdom of Noel Coward’s lyrics will be as lively and contemporary in 100 years’ time as they are today.”

The show itself will be held on Thursday, 4 May at 7.30pm, expect wit, style, and callbacks to one of the greatest performers of our time.

Tickets are available at The Lights Box Office which can be bought at 01264 368368, in person at the box office or online at thelights.org.uk/whatson by searching for Noel Coward.
