A BASEBALL bat was used in an altercation that took place in a car park in Andover earlier this week.

At least four people were reportedly involved in the altercation, which took place in a car park between Charlton Road and Chantry Street on Tuesday 10 October at approximately 5pm.

Police have said that the people involved were wielding weapons, including a baseball bat.

No injuries have been reported, and no arrests have currently been made.

Officers attended the scene, and an investigation into the incident is now underway.

Chief Inspector Hayley O’Grady, Test Valley district commander, said: “Our enquiries are at an early stage, and we are working to establish what took place and identify all of those involved.

“To be clear, we won’t tolerate this kind of behaviour in our town. Carrying weapons in this way is simply not acceptable and we won’t hesitate to take action or look at all of the powers available to us.”
