A NURSERY in Overton has closed its doors for good after serving the community for 12 years.
Staff at the Overton Montessori, also known as Overton Children's House, at St Luke's Hall in Winchester Street, took to Facebook to share the news with residents.
The nursery is an accredited Montessori nursery school for children aged two to six.
The post read: "After 12 Years of Overton Montessori being an integral part of the village it is time to say goodbye.

"Sharon, Fi, Kayleigh and Juels would like to thank every child and parent for such amazing support over the years. It has been such a privilege to teach all of the little people that have come through our door and to have given them such a great foundation in preparation for their next journey on to school."
Montessori is a method of education that is based on self-directed activity, hands-on learning and collaborative play.
In Montessori classrooms, children make creative choices in their learning, while the classroom and the highly trained teacher offer age-appropriate activities to guide the process.
Residents replied to the post sharing their sadness to hear the news.
Tasha Bennetts posted: "You were an integral part of my undergraduate dissertation when I was looking into the use of music in Montessori education. It opened my eyes to a whole new way of teaching and learning and I'm now the head of music in a South Glos secondary school and still apply some of the values I learnt during my visits back in 2018."

Corissa Hunt posted: "I’m so sorry to read this! You were all such an important part of Samuel and Pippa’s younger years and we all treasure our memories from their time with you. Sending you all much love and best wishes for all your future plans."
Many of them thanked the team for all their hard work and dedication.
Shona Hull posted: "Thank you for everything you have done this past year for our son, you have all been more than we ever could have hoped or wished for and have set the standard high for Rory’s education. We will never forget."
