Drivers have avoided injury after a four-vehicle crash on the A303 during rush hour. 

Around 8.30am on Thursday, February 8, AA Travel reported that a crash had occurred on the A303 Eastbound near Barton Stacey. 

One lane was blocked near the slip road to The Street, for nearly two hours.

Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that the crash involved four vehicles but no one was injured.

Delays grew to around an hour at the peak of the traffic due to one lane being closed for recovery. 

A police spokesperson said: "This is a damage only collision reportedly involving 4 vehicles on the A303 eastbound. A temporary lane closure is in place while vehicles are recovered."

The A303 reopened just before 11am.
