A DOG that came into the care of the RSPCA as a stray has found its forever home with a foster family.
Lawrence, a three-year-old lurcher, was in the care of the RSPCA Basingstoke and Andover branch for almost a year but has now found a home with a family previously fostering the dog.
According to volunteer Sarah Biro, the foster home decided to keep the lurcher as it 'got on so well' with their other dog, Cody.

She added: "The foster home had him so long he couldn't imagine life without him, and breaking up his special bond with his own dog Cody."
Lawrence is described as a 'very cheeky boy with plenty of character once he knows you'.
Sarah has volunteered with the Basingstoke and Andover branch of the charity for 16 years, providing vital support and a foster home to animals in the area.
The branch is run by a committee of volunteers and relies on public donations and fundraising to support its animal welfare activities.

These include animal re-homing, provision of limited financial assistance and the promotion of responsible pet ownership through emergency neutering and microchipping campaigns.
If you are unable to commit to rehoming an animal on a permanent basis, then fostering could be ideal.
