AN Andover man has been handed a suspended prison sentence after breaching a non-molestation order.
On Saturday, July 29 last year Lee Burgess, of Ridges View, in Andover sent text messages to somebody he was prohibited from doing by a non-molestation order. The following day, also in Andover, he assaulted someone.
The 39-year-old pleaded guilty to the assault offence on Monday, February 12.

During a hearing held at Basingstoke Magistrates' Court on Monday, March 18 he was sentenced for the offences.
Magistrates handed Burgess a 8 week prison sentence suspended for 12 months. He must also comply with rehabilitation activity and complete 120 hours of unpaid work.
He must also pay court costs of £85 and a surcharge fee of £154.
