A ROAD in Andover was closed for hours following a crash between a lorry and a car.

The incident happened on Wednesday, March 27 on the A303 between the A342 Weyhill Road in Andover and the A338 in Cholderton.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, debris was cleared and emergency barrier repair work was carried out.

A Hampshire Constabulary spokesperson said: "We were called at 7am to a collision on the A303 involving a lorry and a car. Minor injuries reported."

A crew from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service also attended the crash.

A spokesperson added: "Alongside emergency service colleagues, a crew from Andover attended an RTC involving two vehicles on the A303 on the morning of 27 March.

"The initial call came in at 06:55. The crew made the scene safe and then returned to station just before 8am."
