BAFTA award-winning actor Edward Fox is appearing at Theatre Royal Winchester on 27 January at 7.30pm to take on the mantle of one of Britain's best-loved writers in An Evening with Antony Trollope.

The intimate one-man show will provide a dramatic insight into Trollope's life, presenting extracts from his best-known works and his autobiography.

Trollope's classic novels of the mid 19th century portray the social and political conventions and their subsequent hypocrisies which are recognisable and relevant today as they were then.

Among the characters Edward Fox will be bringing to life are The Warden Septimus Harding, Dr Grantly, The Bishop, Mrs Proudie and the famous hypocrite Mr Obadiah Slope.

Edward Fox is famous for the roles he has played in films and on television including The Day of the Jackal, A Bridge Too Far, Ghandi and Edward and Mrs Simpson.

Tickets costing £17 are available from the box office on 01962 840440 or online at www.theatre-royal-winchester.co.uk
