A FREE disability sports festival will take place in Andover on 7 March offering children and their families the opportunity to try a wide range of sports.

The Inspiring You Disability Sports Festival aims to raise awareness of the sporting opportunities that exist within Test Valley for children and young adults with physical and learning disabilities.

Between 10am and 4pm at Andover Leisure Centre a number of inclusive sports clubs will be encouraging people to have a go at wheelchair basketball, archery, cricket, new age curling, trampolining and wheelchair fencing.

The festival is funding by the Aiming High project and as well as offering the opportunity to give things a go, children, parents, young adults and guardians will have the chance to speak to sports club players, coaches and personnel.

The whole aim of the event is to increase the sports participation levels of children and young people with disabilities.
